🙂 Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to convert a Photoshop 7 file into an icon which will eventually be associated with a program?

Thanks so much !

Your best bet, if you’re going to be doing this a lot, is to use a dedicated icon-building application such as IconBuilder.

Go read up on it, and download a fully-enabled trial version: <http://www.iconfactory.com/iconbuilder.asp>

I am actually only making one or two. Thanks though I will read up on it.

Yet, is there no plug-in to create icons from PS7 or Image Ready?

Thanks Phosphor

There is indeed an easy way to create icons with PS using Toby Thain’s excellent ICO plugin (available at <http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/> )

Save it as a .BMP then rename the bmp as an ico.

Just rename any bitmap file using an .ico instead of the bitmap suffix. wrote in message
