"Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information&quot

I need help!

I just added a new hard drive and reinstalled PS 7.01. I keep getting the following message when I try to launch:

"Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information"

I've already followed the procedure outlined in the following Adobe technical bulletin to no avail:

The serial number in regedit is the correct one, yet I still get the error message.

I am running Windows XP Pro (I haven't installed SP1 or 2 yet - could that be an issue?), have 70GB free space, 256MB RAM.

PS worked fine on my old hard drive (40GB - I needed more space), but not on the new one.

Any suggestions are most appreciated.

reinstallation usually fixes this error.

I've reinstalled several times to no avail. It's not even showing up in Add/Remove programs after I "install" it usggesting to me that it was never fully installed in the first place.

You could always try manually deleting the Photoshop directory as well as the settings in C:\Documents and Settings\[Your User Name]\Application Data\Adobe.

Then try reinstalling.
