How do I get photoshop to show me the typefaces in the dropdown font select menu?

Not being able to preview the font makes choosing the right font a real pain.

That really stinks. What was Adobe thinking?

Thanks very much Richard.

By the way, where do can I find the "feature request section"?

Very Nice!!!
It works so well. 🙂

Please explain the checkmark and what it means to commit the text?

I have some problems with commitment.

Cliff, well don’t worry, you are not really commited to the text unless you rasterize it (simplify). Clicking the checkmark just enables you to end the text line but it is still vector and editable. Glad that tip worked for you.

Earlier this week I had the same issue arise. I was sent a macro for Word that would create a document of all of the characters on the keyboard in every font on my system.

That allows me to compare the complete alphabet, not just a few letters.
