What does this mean. I get it when i try and open jpgs from a client of mine. They are saving in CS and simply emailing htem over zipped up... HELP!

If they were saved in CS, then the files have been corrupted or aren't really JPEG.

If they were saved in another application - then your client saved lossless JPEG, an option that very few applications support.
