Hi
I know how to use the extract tool but sometimes I cannot get all the finer details such as strands of hair or whiskers, how can this be accomplished so you can extract most of the fine details.
Thank you

I have read the responses so far and am amazed that not one of themmentions
the tool that gives you the most control over your selection. The Pentool.
It is the best (if not the only) tool that will give you the ability to select the fine detail you are looking for.if
Another possible way (depending on the original image) of masking the fine detail is using Channels. I will not take the time to go thru it here but
you are interested you might want to find a book called "Photoshop Channel CHOPS", New Riders Publishing. It is not a new book (last copyright was 1998) but almost the entire book is relevant in the current version of Photoshop.accomplished
