hey, im an intermediate newbie in need of help!

I am designing a website right now completely in photoshop CS. Everything is designed in photoshop, the layers, slicing, everything! Basically the index of the website (templete) is right there in photoshop saved as a .psd file... what I need to do is transfer this .psd file into go live so that all the layers, files, slicing, etc. saty in tact... can this be done? I also have dream weaver mx 2004 so if it can be done there I would appreciate the help!

ANY help would be excellent! If you experts need an elaboration I am more then happy to reply with a more detailed account of the situation...basically I would like to take a website templete in photoshop (.psd) and convert it to a web ready document into either go live or dream weaver...

THANKS in advance guys

sincerely

Rico

I'm not a GoLive expert, but I doubt what you want can be done. Layers in PS are much more complex than GL layers, and thus do not map directly across.

You should save your PSD file to keep all your features intact, and then use ImageReady to export to the web, then opening the resulting files in GL.

Hey Don,
So i should use image ready to export to the web, which creates .html files then edit/publish them with go live?

That's one way. Suggest you also look at Photoshop Smart Objects in GoLive.
