Perspective correction with CS2 has stopped working

I used to be able transforming perspective while cropping with CS2 but it has stopped working and will only function in rectangular mode.

Apart from re-installing Photoshop, is there any way that I can restore this facility.

What happens when you click the "Perspective" check box in the tool options bar at the top of the screen?

Do you mean it disappears when you select the crop tool? The Options Bars should *always* be there, not matter what tool you've selected.

No, it does not disappear, the bar is just not there at all. Please look at this composite screen grab:
www.htmlduo.org.uk/temp/Grab-3.png
which shows the lasso tool behaving properly but no bar when the crop tool is used.

Huh? The bar is there! That is where you can fill in width and heigth and resolution, as shown on your screendump. On the right of those three is the 'perspective' checkmark, but you left it out of the image so we can't check that.

There are two bars for the crop tool, one for when the tool is selected, and the other for when the tool is active. Use the crop tool to drag out a rectangle, and the tool bar will change to include the perspective check box.

Correction (see also Mike's respons): The checkmark appears on the far right of this bar after you have made the crop selection. Perhaps that's why you can't find it.

Found it now!

Thanks for your help (and patience).

Many thanks Mike. Found it now. I was staring at the bar and looking hard when the tool was *inactive*. Duh!

Thanks again.

Yes, you're right. I have a panoramic screen set to 1280x768 which means that it is well away from the tool itself!

Thanks again.
