[Help]The cursor doesn't change when I click on a tool

520 views19 repliesLast post: 8/9/2004
A lot of times, when I click on a tool like selection the cursor doesn't change its appearance and I can't select anything. Then I have to close photoshop and open again, but the problem appears another time.

What can I do?

Plesa help me!

Thanks =)

What's caps? I'm spanish I don't know a lot of english...

Thanks

In English it's the CapsLock key which will force all character to CAPITALS or UPPER CASE.

Make sure it's turned off. If that doesn't help turn hardware acceleration down to zero to test your video driver.

Ah ok, I have turned off "bloq mayus" (in spanish), but it doesn't work. I want to try "turn hardware acceleration down to zero to test my video driver" but...how can I do it??

Thanks and sorry I don't understand very well english :)

Your English is fine, but my Spanish isn't. What version of Windows are you using?

I'm using Windows XP professinal edition :)

Under display properties>settings>advanced click on troubleshooting. You can turn the hardware acceleration down there.

If that fixes the problem, you'll need to find an updated driver.

Make sure turn the acceleration back up when you're done.

ialpha, when you turn down acceleration and it fixes the problem, that means you NEED to update your video drivers. go to the video card manufacturer's web site and download the latest driver for your video card. after you install that, turn the acceleration back all the way up and see if the problem is gone.

As Dave says, and as I pointed out, you need to turn that back up and get yourself a new driver.
