I thoroughly recommend "Photoshop Elements 4 Solutions" by Mikkel Aaland, published by Sybex (ISBN 0-7821-4446-2). This book explains how to use Photoshops Elements 4 very clearly without any distracting personal comments and attempts at humor. It's a work book; it shows you how to use Photoshop Elements; it doesn't attempt to entertain you..

As far as I've seen so far, the book contains the information I need.
