Using Windows XP Home and Photoshop CS, Dell XPS Pentium 4 with 2 Gb RAM. When using Magnetic Lasso Tool I click to add fastening points. After adding more than about ten points the entire screen turns white and nothing will work. After pressing ESC the photo reappears but without any fastening points showing. Has anyone had this problem? It is preventing me from using the tool.
Thanks.

did you get the MP support and adjusted refresh rate plugins available from the photoshop download area? (there's links to both near the top of this forum's list)

Thank you, Dave. No, I didn't get either. I will download them and see what happens.

let us know if that solves it.

I'm afraid that didn't solve it. I put in about twenty fastening points and the screen went blank. So did the history window and the layers window. Instead of pressing ESC I pressed CTRL-ALT-SPACEBAR to zoom out and the image came back with the previous fastening points still there. So I guess I can live with that if nothing else can be done.

That sounds like you might have a display driver bug.

agreed. try turning down the video acceleration in control panel> display> settings> advanced. turn it off. if the problem goes away, it's the drivers. get the latest from the video card manufacturer's web site.
