Off topic, I know but…

I have a Formac pro nitron 21/650 and I’m unsure of which leads to connect to which connectors on the back. The red, green and blue are self evident, but I have one black and one grey to fix to an ‘HD’ and a ‘VD’ connector.

Which is which? Thanks.

I tried googling, but no luck, unless I want to buy a manual.

If you have a scope available, see which of the two remaining wires has the highest frequency signal, and hook that to the HD connection. Otherwise, hook a speaker or earphone to each of the two inputs. The vertical synch will have a clear audio tone that matches the refresh rate, typically 50 to 90 Hz. The other wire will then be the horizontal synch.

Or experiment. two wires, two connections, hook each of the two possible connections for a second or two and see what happens.
