I am using Photoshop CS and am still learning. I am sure there is a very simple answer to my should be simple question. I am drawing property lines on a photo. I am using the pen tool and creating a path, then I stroke path. For some reason, there are times that Stroke Path is not even an option. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or missing something, because other times it is there and ready to use. Thanks in advance for all your help!

The path must be highlighted in the Paths palette, and the active layer must be visible.

You have to make sure you are on the pen tool

Acually, you don't want to be on the Pen tool if you are stroking by using the Enter key on the numeric keypad, since this strokes with the current painting tool.

If you are right-clicking to stroke (which i assume you are, since you say sometimes it's not an option) you have to be on the pen tool, the path selection tool, the direct selection tool, or one of the other path-forming tools.
