I just migrated to a new computer with XP from 98se and my newly installed Photoshop does not list the full set of filters in the drop down menu. Only a basic set – sharpen, etc appear in the drop down menu. I looked in the plug in folder and that folder appears to be blank. I also checked to install cd for filter folders and found just a few esoteric ones.

My new computer is a 2.8, 1mb, ATI 9800pro system.

Any thoughts?

RE-install Photoshop.

If you did an upgrade install of XP over the top of Win98 you will have many Problems.

XP needs to be installed to its own new folder, preferably on a freshly formatted partition and then ALL Applications and Peripherals re-installing.

My install was clean and on a brand new computer, so that is not my problem

The answer stands. Re-install Photoshop. If that doesn’t fix it try deleting your preference file – details in the FAQ at the top of this forum’s Topic List
