For Photoshop CS on Windows XP Pro:

I have a number of sets of Actions, so the Actions pallete has a long list. Is there a way to cause the Actions pallete to alphabetize the sets of Actions so they are easier to find?

There’s no automated method to sort action sets (or actions within action sets, for that matter) into alphabetic sequence. The only way to order action sets is manually via drag/drop.

If you have bunches of actions, you might want to look into a product called "ActionDex." Although it, too, cannot automatically sort action sets or actions, it has a wealth of functionality beyond what’s possible in Photoshop.

Wouldn’t it be feasible to create separate action folders, representing various action sets, within Windows Explorer, and alphabatize them there? Then when using actions, just navigate to the desired action set?
