Hi,
I made a rookie mistake in a hurry.
1) I saved final psd in Photoshop
2) moved it to ImageReady
3) flattened it
4) optimized jpg for web and saved it
5) minutes later I closed ImageReady and overwrited original layered psd by flattened psd
So now I don't have layered psd anymore and future changes aren't possible. Is there way to recover earlier version or is my file eternaly gone?
I'm 99% sure that I have to do all my work again, but I'm asking anyway...
Thanks,
Buda
As has been pointed out, there is nothing that can be done now. This is a great reason to save variations along the way. For me, Save & Save_As are too close, and I have *almost* hit the wrong one at the wrong time.
If you are in CS CS2 and have your History set to Log the History into a TXT file, you might be able to at least look at that, to see what you did in the creation process. Unfortunately, one can only use that file as a guideline to re-do the work.
Sorry - we've all either been there, or been so close to there that the hair still stands up on the back of our necks.
