Blending Copied Selections into new Photo?

I pasted a new selection into another photo and want to make it look like it was there all the time. How do I blend it in so the edges look natural?

Check different feathering options as you are pasting it into the other picture. Feathering is on the bar at the top.

Create a layer mask for the new layer, and put a bit of blur on the mask.

Drag your subject directly onto the file containing your background image (without making any selection).
Once your subject is the topmost layer, add a layer mask. Use Brush Tool set to Air Brush mode. And set the hardness to 50 %. This will ensure that edges dont become too soft. Once you paint your layer mask you would have achieved the eight blending of your subject with the background image.
