Hello with thanks.
I want to do (or hope at least) exactly what i describe. Firstly, have a scan of a dvd box cover, or find a photo on the Internet of any movie. This usually is square, or rectangular shaped.
Secondly, change it to round without loosing picture info ? The border of the image can still remain rectangular, but the image itself will now be round. This way, i insert the photo on Nero Cover Designer and have more or less a cd cover with as many as possible info from the original picrure.
I did what you proposed with the eliptical tool, but much info is lost this way.
Is it clearer now ?
Best regards
Marios

I have a wallpaper of a movie and i want to make a cd cover out of it. I imagine a simple conversion of the square to circle shape.
'simple conversion of the square to circle shape'
What does that mean? how can you possibly have a simple conversion of
square
to circle?
If you are saying you want to take a circular section from a squre image? then that is simple, use the eliptical marquee tool with the shift key
down,
this gives you a circular selection, and whilst you still have the marquee tool selected you can move the circle anywhere on the image, then go to image crop, then inverse selection and delete, someone will no doubt know
a
better or just another way.
