I want to print some images shot with a digital camera. The print service bureau uses a Fuji Frontier and I downloaded the ICC profile for this machine.
I installed this profile and created a Color Setting according to Fuji's specifications.
I need some advice on how to proceed.
The images were shot with a Canon Powershot G1, and I used Adobe's Camera Raw plug-in to get the files in Photoshop.
In the Camera Raw plug-in I set the color space to sRGB IEC61966-2.1. This matches the Color Setting I created for the Fuji Frontier.
My questions now are:
1. Once the image is in Photoshop and I want to do some color adjustments or adjustments in general, must I first convert the profile to the Fuji Frontier profile and then make the color adjustments or must I first do the color adjustments and then convert the profile?
2. And when making/viewing these color adjustments must I turn 'Proof colors' on?
When I turn 'Proof colors' on (the proof setup is set to the Fuji Frontier) there is a small color shift. I thought that once a profile is converted, the image will show on my monitor as it will be printed (once monitor is calibrated of course).
Any additional tips or advice?
Thanks in advance.
