must change 16bit BMP picture into a 8bit BMP picture

Im makeing a color logo for day of defeat and the program i use to load the logo requires the picture to be in 8 bit. When i save the picture in photoshop as a BMP it doesnt give me the option to save it as a 8 bit, the lowest it goes is is 16 bit. The picture is only 128x64 and there isnt alot of detail in the picture.

Please tell me how to make it 8 bit!!!

Can you select 8 bit in Image>Mode ?

You probably need to change mode to Indexed Color first.
