Something strange has begun happening:

When attempt to create a new color selection by clicking on the color pot in the color tab, or the foreground/background palettes, instead of the familiar colorway with which you create your new selection, I get an eyedropper and the message "click image to choose new color" and all menu options are grayed out, and nothing I do gets me out of it except for clicking the screen and ESC the command. I fear the color selection window is opening somewhere on a virtual monitor that doesn’t exist. I have both the laptop and external monitors open, and it’s nowhere to be found!

YIKES!

OK I just switched the orientation of the external monitor (extending the windows desktop to the left instead of the right) and I found the missing color selection window. Madness!
