I had a picture and I needed to create an outline of a moderately simple (but not trivial) shape with straight edges. I created a new layer and then start looking for a"Line Tool" in CS2 like the one I used to use in 5.5. I found something that seemed to call itself a pen-tool which the on-line help said I was supposed to use but when I started drawing lines with it, it wasn’t just drawing lines but creating some sort of area (maybe a mask, I don’t know).
I just wanted to draw straight, black lines. Finally I gave up and opened the image in 5.5 and finished the job in a few minutes. But I’d really like to be able to do this in the new program so I can uninstall the old one. Is there a way to draw lines in CS2?
