Hello,

Excuse my poor english..

In Photoshop, I want to use (in the font wazy2) a character witch ascii code is less than 32.
I need the characers coded 25 and 26. (hexa : $19 and $1a)

The sequence Alt + 025 don’t works…

Does abnyone knows how to do this ?

Thanks

try
start>programs>system tools>accessories>character map look up your font
use copy paste or the alt plus numpad (make sure num pad is not disabled)

On a Mac? I don’t know

Hello,

Sorry, I forgot to specify that’s on a PC !!!

So, the alt + numpad don’t works in Photoshop…

I can’t use either the copy/paste from character map because it’s a PFM (in Adobe shared files) and not a TTF Windows font !!!

Thanks for your answer.

yes it does!
the character map is an ALTERNATE way of doing it, as you stated the
font
you were using would not work.
Check your NUM LOCK key on your keyboard, do not use the numbers above
the
letters
maybe the font you are using does not contain the character you will need
to
‘borrow" one from another font style.

FWIW: The OP is trying to access the glyphs located at positions coded 25 and 26 in the font he is using.

That is darn near impossible in Windows. In fact, I’ve been messing with "Windows" since version 1.03, and I do not know any realistic way to access the characters at the positions below decimal 32.

The applet ‘Charmap’ will not do it. IIRC You can only access characters coded at positions 33 through xxxx using that application.

The Alt-Numeric Keypad will not do it. IIRC You can only access characters coded at positions 33 through xxxx using that application.

Out of curiosity … what glyphs are these … anyway?

Can they be substituted with a symbol from another font, or possibly a Dingbat font?

As a last resort, possibly one of the ‘hackers’ at alt.binaries.fonts will have a solution … the OP might try posting the question "over there."
