Can anyone provide me with a step by step method of creating a golf ball to make it look as authentic as possible.

I'd definitely increase the size of the pattern from that tutorial, though... Here's the link for an example of a scanned golf ball, the tutorial with a larger pattern size, and a "golfoid" from KPT 3...
