4 Bit Color conversion?

Hi Everyone

Could someone please tell me how to reduce the color depth of a Photoshop file to 4 Bit. I'm designing some XP Icons using Photoshop and 'Gif Movie Gear'. GMG needs some of the Photoshop files as 4 Bit Images. I've succeeded in making 32 and 8 bit versions (Can't remember how!), but just can't reduce them to 4 Bit. I suspect it's something to do with the 'Index Color' Dialogue box?

I have extensively searched the Photoshop Help and Google!!.

Grateful for any help offered.

Indexed Colour -> 16 colours.

If you're making icons, you might find my ICO format plugin useful: http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/#icoformat
