Confirm Text Edit

After editing a piece of text, or even adding a new piece of text is there a short cut to confirm?
You know... clicking that damn tick wastes a lot of time!

Thanks in advance.

What version are you using??? I've never seen that. Sometimes, pressing CTRL (I think!) will bypass these annoying things.

Peadge :-)

Enter on the numeric keypad.

Obviously, I am missing something here. In CS (I), all I do is make the edit, then, when I go to the next tool, the edited text is now in its Layer, and there is no dialog box of any sorts. Just changing to the next tool does it for me, unless I've totally missed the boat on this one.

You can change to the next tool with a mouse click on the icon, but not with a keyboard short cut (eg: press B to goto brush mode, but it types B!)
I use keyboard short cuts a lot, as it's so quick.

Ah, now I'm following you. While I use the keyboard shortcuts for quite a bit, I'm usually doing Ctrl-something. I see the problem and see how Peadge's recommendation would help.

FYI
ENTER is also good to finish the cropping, if you don't like to double-click in WIN
