I'm trying to make an action so that I can run a batch.
I need to convert a ton of 300ppi psd's to 150ppi jpgs.
I can't seem to locate the actions that let one call out the ppi Any help here?

you choose the resolution under IMAGE>size assuming you want the jpegs the same size as the psd's just change the resolution to 150 in the box. (make sure resample is checked) or change to the size of your choice. so to make the action open the first image, resize it , save as, close original, no save) if the psd files have layers you may need to add a flatten layers action, jpgs cannot save in layers.

No, I know there is not a ready made one. I want to reduce a file from 300 to 150 and convert it from a
psd to a jpg at the same time. I have about 300 of them that I need to do this to.

I am not sure why you want to reduce the dpi to 150 and compress the file but all you have to do is start recording an action, make a right click on the image's title bar (windows) chose Image size, change your values, after that hit Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S to save as a JPG and stop recording.
For batch processing see about droplets in the manual.
Or you can use the free program Irfanview, you hit B for Batch, I wish PS was that simple sometimes...

Thanks, I'll work on that. I've never messed with actions, so, it's a new thing for me.
FYI; the reason I'm doing this is that I sell scans of vintage material, and I've been selling all high quality 300ppi scans that are so unnecessary. I'm knocking them down to 150ppi so that I can get more on the cd without changing the size. If I can batch them it would save me a ton of time.
