I sometimes need to use PhotoShop (7.0)on my laptop with an LCD projector which only has a resolution of 800x640 where the laptop itself is normally at 1400x1050. I resize the screen and the 'Reset Palette Locations' command places the palettes within reach.
The problem is that the dialog boxes for tools and filters are placed at there last used location. This is sometimes not on the screen, requiring a minimise PhotoShop, resize desktop, restore photoshop, resize desktop routine.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Davey

Window/Workspace/Reset Palette Locations

Never had the problem, but does "Window---»Workspace---»Reset Palette Locations" also reset dialogue box location(s)?
If not, it might be a helpful addition to have an option so that all dialogues would be reset so that they show up at something like x, y = 100,100

I don't know, either, but if it doesn't you might be stuck with a pref reset.

If everyone read them, they wouldn't be asked so frequently. :)

if the max res on the device is 800x640(?) you will/may need to reset the prefs.

I've read the FAQ and tried all 3 option, the only dialog box that i seem to be having problems with is the canvas size dialog box. Every time i select this option photoshop freezes and it only responds to clt+atl+del. It use to work fine until i moved my system around. Please if anybody can help me, i've been messing with this for 2 days now!
