When I am using certain tools, ie., Lasso, it will not auto scroll to the left. Is there a lock? When I go near the top, bottom or right side- it will automatically scroll that direction, buit left appears to be locked. How can I fix this to scroll in any direction?

Hi Brian,
Some of the selection tools are indeed limited in auto scrolling, but I've not particularly noticed in which directions those limitations apply. It does seem to be largely by design however. The solution is to temporarily toggle to the hand tool by depressing the space bar, pan your image in the direction where you will be extending your selection, then release the spacebar and continue the selection.

Wierd.....
I tried restarting Photoshop, but still only panned in 3 directions. I went to lunch, the when I came back, I tried a new image. It worked in every direction. Then, when I re-opened the original document, I could then scroll in any direction....
