probably have the file> new dialog off screen. try this:
Robert Levine "Dialog box is missing??" 2/14/04 6:41pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/0>
and if that doesn’t work, try this:
Mathias Vejerslev "How to delete/reset Photoshop preferences" 2/11/03 1:04pm </cgi-bin/webx?50>
Nope, I am not sure what the first one is asking me to do really, because I searched Windows, and couldnt find the Workspace folder anywhere. Also, I reset my prefs and that didnt work. Any other solutions?
Roddy,
It sounds as though you are looking at the Documents and Settings folder under ‘ALL USERS’ rather than the one under your (login) username.
You also need to have Windows Explorer options set to "View Hidden Files and Folders"
I am using Windows 98. We only have 1 User.
I think in windows 98 it’d be under windows\application data… you still need to be able to view hidden files.
I am using Photoshop 7.0 on Windows XP pro. Photoshop freezes up while working with the layers. If I dont use any layer it works fine means editing pics. and stuff… I re-formatted my hard drive and installed everything again but the problems remains the same… Anyone can help, highly appreciated…
Does just Photoshop lock up, or does the whole machine lock up (so that cntl-alt-del doesn’t work)?
The Whole system freeze’s up… I have to turn it off and than turn it on back again…
Then you need to read the FAQ, and replace the bad hardware.
Everytime i load photoshop in startup it freezes. Why?
we don’t know. please start a new topic and give us all the info you can after reading this:
