PS7 upgrade required PS4 be installed; it works. I uninstalled PS4, not uninstalling shared files; PS7 won’t work. Can’t I have PS7 without PS4??

TIA
Fred

What do you mean "won’t work"? What does it do? Will the program open?

Platform, OS, etc?

deinstall all > install your ps7 upgrade > insert your ps4 installation disk when ask for during ps7 installation

Again–With both PS 7 (upgrade) and PS4 installed; each works fine. Since PS7 works, I don’t need 4. When I uninstall 4,clicking "No" to uninstalling shared files, then try to open 7, it says, Can’t find personalization data. Could not complete your request. So what is it looking for that I obviously removed??? I had it working before I had to reinstall NT4-SP6a OS. Thanks.

imho ps7 normally don’t need an installed version 4 for validation of the upgrade. it needs only the source medium of ps4 as validation during install process

Reinstall PS7, there will be a point when it will ask for the PS4 CD, put it in the drive, it will then tell you to take it out and put the PS7 install CD back in.

No other way around it.

Better than having both installed….
