Problem with Photoshop Update

When I start Photoshop 7.0.1, my preferences are to check Adobe Online weekly for updates. In the past things worked fine. Now, however, when I do a manual check for updates, or if it's been over a week and Photoshop checks for updates, I get the following error:

"File could not be downloaded. <http://cgi...tform=0dll> ver=2.8.3.3AOMV=2.8.3.3 There was a problem connecting to Adobe Online. Please check your network settings in the internet control panel. 21:-139"

What does all this mean? The only change I've made was to add Zone Alarm Pro, but I've given Photoshop all the rights to access the internet, and when I disable Zone Alarm, I still get the same error.

This sounds like Adobe Online isn't. Never fear though. There will never be another update to v7.0.

Robert,

The Adobe Online Manager has always been less than robust and it is not even present in current versions.

As Photoshop 7x is no longer the current version, there will be no more updates for it so you might just as well set it to never check and be done with it.
