How to reduce image to 16 'windows' colors

Hi All,

I have an image I'd like to use for the icon in the win2000 system tray.

This requires that I use the windows 16 color palette.

I know how to use Photoshop to scale an image down to the windows 256 color palette, but how do I get to the 16 color palette?

When you use File->Save for the web... you can select GIF as filetype and 16 for the number of colors. Below, you'll see a color table. You can edit that and you can load or save color tables. In your case, you would want to load "windows.act" and you're finished...
