Prt Screen & Photoshop

Just recently everytime I am watching a movie on my DivX and do a PrtScreen and place it on photoshop, the image appears black. But if I take a ptrscreen of anything else that is not a video it will come out perfectly on photoshop.

I have been doing prtscreen for a long time, but this problem started 2 days ago, and I have been trying to fix it but I can't.

Can someone help?

Many movie players have a print screen button you can use instead of the print screen button on your keyboard. If you player has such a button then try that instead.

If that's not an option then you can turn down the hardware acceleration of your graphic card (Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot). Then take the screenshot with the print screen button on your keyboard and turn the hardware acceleration up again. Paste the screenshot into Photoshop.

Most video player applications I've seen will not support screen capture of the video via the conventional Print Screen capability and instead do require their own provisions for a screen capture or frame grab. I don't know much about the specifics, but I believe that video is some sort of overlay that Print Screen cannot "see", so to speak.
