TIFF CCITT Group 4 Compression

Hi !
Does anyone know how to open TIFF CCITT Group 4 compressed files in Photoshop 7. Is there a plugin, dont want to convert the files in ACDSEE.
I have a HP scanner/printer that makes this types of files when scanning a job. JPG is also an option, but resolution is to low.

I just saved a group 4 tiff in IrfanView, and can open it in PS 7 no prob.

So your app must be making some odd flavor of it, or?
