text distribution

I have 3 lines of text on different layers or on one layer. With the Move tool activated the options bar displays the same alignment and distribution possibilities as in Illustrator. Obviously to distribute 3 or more lines of text I have to be able to select them all but I am unable to select more than one line at a time. Am I overlooking something?

Link them in the layers palette (chain icon).

That is cool. Thanks a lot Scott. I'm kicking myself for not having thought of that possibility myself.
