Hi! With Photoshop CS SE on most of filters PS shows "Error: No more virtual tiles can be allocated.". Any ideas? More thanks, Alar from Tartu Uni.

At a guess, it may be the size of your windows paging file.

How much RAM?
How much allocated to Photoshop?
How much free space on your Primary scratch drive?
What are your settings for the Windows pagefile?

CS SE? What is that?

And WHICH filters show that error?

Hi and thanks!
Sorry, CE – Central Europe. Client wrote that on most of filters PS show this error. 256+128MB RAM.
30GB HD, ca 20GB free.
For pagefile is default settings, computer is installed with such a RAM. OS is W2K. I don’t know about amount of RAM PS using.
More thanks,
Alar.

Alar,

That’s not much RAM to run Photoshop! Most folks are running 1 to 2 gigs these days, with a dedicated scratch partition of around 10 gigs.

WHICH filters? "most" doesn’t mean anything.

Are they talking about builtin filters, plugin filters, third party filters, or what? (that message isn’t in Photoshop, so I doubt it’s the builtin filters)

And it sounds like they have too little RAM, or have the memory percentage set too high in preferences.
