7.0 upgrade?????????

I have windows 98 and Photoshop 6.0.1. I have been trying to upgrade to 7.0 and then maybe to photoshop CS. I have also been told by Adobe support (in Oregon) that there isn’t a 7.0 upgrade and I should upgrade directly to photoshop CS. I do see many references to Photoshop 7.
Am I missing something or have I been led astray

You’re missing something. You missed PS 7 to be exact.

It’s not being sold by Adobe anymore.

Just a caution: Photoshop CS will not work with Windows 98. It needs 2000 or XP.

You can probably find somebody who’ll sell you a legal PS 7 update – but buy with care.
