DirectCursors Plug-in for Photoshop 7 WIN

I using Windows 2000 with Photoshop 7.01. I want to change my Brush Tool to a different color. Like the Clone tool to Red. I took a class and the instructor mentioned that DirectCursors Plug-in will work.

I tried finding how to install the plug-in but to no avail. I have a Adobe Photoshop 7.0 upgrade. Can I use this CD to install the DirectCursors Plug-in?

If so.. Can someone give me instructions on how to do it?

Thanks,
Brian

Photoshop Windows doesn't have a DirectCursors plugin - that's only for the Macintosh.

Thanks for the info Chris. Is there any way to make the Brush or clone tool a different color?

No. It uses XOR blend mode - because that's the best we've got available on Windows.

DirectCursors on the Macintosh enables a different blend mode that offers contrast over all colors (it doesn't disappear over 50% gray).

brian, a workaround is to hold either the crtl or space key briefly, bringing up another cursor so you can get your bearings... i use crtl most of the time (brings up the black arrow from the move tool).

Thanks for the Help Dave. I think by now Adobe would of fixed this Problem. You think that it would be easy to program the software to change the color of the Stamp tool.

Maybe if more people ask for this feature they will add it.

If it were that easy, it WOULD have been fixed by now.
That should offer a big clue that it is NOT that easy....
