Photoshop cannot use more than 2 gigs RAM

more specifically, windows apps cannot use more than 2 gig of ram. xp provides a /3gig startup switch (unsupported) that allows win to allocate up to 3 gig per application, but the app needs to be able to address that memeory for it to be useful. photoshop does not address over 2 gig even with the switch enabled.

After installing PhotoShop I had the message that Window's and Adobe primary scratch file are in the same volume which can reduce performance.
It adviced me to move Adobe's primary scratch volume to a different volume. Can someone please tell me how I can accomplish this task?. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you

Carlos,

That message is ADVISORY only.

If you have more than one drive, select your drive for the PS scratch from Edit>Preferences>Plugins and Scratch disk
