Version 7 vs CS?

I am taking a class in Photo Manipulation and I will be using Lesson 11 and Lesson 13 in the Classroom in a Book (CIB). Is there are any differences in these two books regarding these particular chapters in CIB? I am trying to save a little. I appreciate this newsgroup. Dick Ross

I do not have the books(?). What aspects of Photoshop do these chapters deal with?

Given those subjects, there should be little difference. I have both books, and will compare those chapters (11 & 13), and let you know if I find any real differences.

There's probably very little difference at all. Photoshop CS and Version 7 both allow for layers to be grouped into layer sets, which are really handy. The sets collapse into a folder an dif you have lots of layers, it makes keeping track of them much easier. However, CS added the feature of nested layer sets--layer sets inside of layer sets. Even cooler and more functional.

Two color printing hasn't evolved to any great degree during the time between CS and 7, so the chapters may be very similar.

Checking the two chapters, they are almost identical. Even the page layout in the two editions is just about right-on. I didn't read each chapter in each book, but a side-by-side comparison looks almost identical - even use the same images, and the Review Questions & Answers at the end are the same. Hope this helps.
