The properties on the gif say its a Bit Depth of 8, Color Representation = Palettized, and the compression is Lempel-Ziv.
Anyone have this problem before.. the error states: "Could not open... because the file-format module cannot parse the file."

I guess that's LZW? If so, normal.
Where you seeing the info?
Will IrfanView open it? If so, try another Sava As to another .gif with Iview.

yea thats LZW, but we haven't had problems with any other gifs before.. and I got the properties by right clicking in the windows explorer and clicking the Summary tab.
What is Irfan View? and is it free?
these gifs were given to us by another company and currently we're just opening them up in IE and screen grabbing them.. just an annoyance more than anything.
