red eye tool in CS2 - present in Mac version, not in PC?

Hi All,
I've CS2 on my Mac, and after extolling the virtues of CS2 to a mate, he's now got it on his PC. However, I noticed that the redeye reduction tool (usually selectable via the healing brush button) which I have is not present on the Windows version.
Anyone know why this is - is it an optional install off the CD, or does CS2 vary between the platforms?

Haven't pointed him in the direction of Adobe yet to ask as thought best check it wasn't something obvious first...

Interesting. Photoshop 9.0, right? Tell him to check his versions -- are you sure he's got CS2? Then look (in the menu bar) under 'Help/How to fix and enhance photos.' There's an entry for red eye with CS2. I can't imagine adobe released a Photoshop for Mac with _more_ features than the Windows version.

Why not? After all PS was released on the Mac years before a Windows version - see

But I can't imagine them shipping it without a red eye too. On the other hand I can imagine it not being obvious on the PC - after all it's a Windows program there ;-)

I know, but that was then, this is now. Adobe have had their noses up Bill Gates's bum for a while now. Bigger market.

I have CS2 (legit, and expensive) on two Macs and a Windows box, and the red-eye tool is present on both platforms. If it isn't present in your friend's Windows version, he doesn't have CS2.

The Mac version does have one feature the Windows version does not--the ability to save and load PICT resource files. However, since such files are only useful on Macs, that's not exactly much of a limitation.

It is there on CS2 for Windows - just hidden. If you right click on the healing brush tool (little band aid fourth down the left for me) you will see four tools - Spot Healing Brush, Healing Brush, Patch and Red Eye.
