Hi. I read the entire thread and think I have a better alternative. What Tacit said is correct, but perhaps not the best way to go about it. What I don't like with his approach is that you are changing the physical parameters of your photo layer. Instead, here is what I would do:
1. create a new layer called: Green layer (put it first, over the photo layer)
2. Go to the Photo Layer (put it second, under the green layer)
3. Using the wand tool (or any selection tool that suits your needs), select
the area where you want to change the color.
4. Go to the Green layer. Make the selection any color you like.
5. In the layer pallette at the top, there is a long drop down menu (under
the word layer). For the green layer, select the option "color".
Why go to this trouble? Again, to preserve the original picture in case you ever want to do something different.
