Can I Fill the Image With a Brush ... Automatically?

Sometimes I need to use a brush with name "Add Canvas Texture" from my brushes menu. I can fill the image with the brush by hand, but I get pretty uneven areas because of applying the brush under varying pressure amounts. Is there a way to just fill the entire image with that brush automatically?
By the way, Photoshop CS2 refers to the brush in the "Edit" menu as follows: "Undo Pattern Stamp".

Hi maria,
It sounds like you are using the 'Tool Preset Picker' to select the 'Add Canvas Texture' from the 'Art History' list which changes the tool from 'Brush' to 'Pattern Stamp Tool'.
One way would be to use the 'Paint Bucket Tool' then select the 'Canvas' texture and use the same settings you are using with the 'Pattern Stamp Tool'.
Another way would be to select the area then run the 'Texturizer' filter with the canvas texture loaded - this give a lot of control.

I don't think that you understood the question. This is not the built-in canvas texture of Photoshop. This is a pattern stamp canvas texture. I need to fill the image with it automatically. I know very well how to use textures, and even make my own from the image itself. Thank you.

I don't think that you understood the question. This is not the built-in canvas texture of Photoshop. This is a pattern stamp canvas texture. I need to fill the image with it automatically. I know very well how to use textures, and even make my own from the image itself. Thank you.

untick the fade by pressure setting in the brush palette then the strokes will be even every time
and/or
select the area with lasso or other
make brush size huge enough to cover all area to be brushed make one mouse click >>>>done
