Is it possible to cut and paste a layer from one document to another in Photoshop 7 and above if so how??

Select layer to copy, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, Select documnt where to copy, Ctrl+V.. if needed, use Ctrl+T to make it fit to new document

Select layer to copy, Apple+A, Apple+C, Select documnt where to copy, Apple+V.. if needed, use Apple+T to make it fit to new document

Another thought-
With your original document open, open a new document in PS to size, then From the layers palette click and grab the layer you are trying to copy and drag it onto your new doc. Press the space bar and it will center the image.

You mean for people who think that because they paid a lot more for their computer that does exactly the same, they are 'advanced users'.

You can also grab the layer in the layer palette and drag it to the new document.
