According to the documentation with CS2 it should be possible to scan a number of small photographs in one scan, and then using the File > Automate
crop and straighten photos command, have Photoshop create separate files
for each picture!

Am I reading this wrong? as I cannot seem to get this to work!

Forget that!!!

What I had to do! was leave a fairly large space between the photos, change from background layer, select the white surround and delete (so the images were on a transparent background), then it works well!!

Just in case anyone else needs to do this!
