Filter Gallery Taking A LONG Time To Open!!!

Just wondering why ... I just upgraded my computer with 1 Gig memory and fast cpu with new motherboard ... movies are fast and smooth .. yet the filter gallery is taking forever to open, when I want to apply a filter ... any ideas why?

Also, can you just apply a filter alone, without going thru the gallery?

I would suggest...

1. Get used to it. It is basically just another half-assed feature that is slow, only half implemented and as it is right now no where near as useful as it could have been had Adobe used some brains when implementing it.

2. Complain to Adobe and tell them you want a way to turn it off so that you can use the filters like you used to. They were much better when you could just select a filter and it came up in its own little Windows instead of the large slow way they have it now.
