smooth image border

I've an image with a thin black border. How could i make the border smooth. acutally it's wavy.

It's not clear what you are asking. What do you mean by "smooth" and "wavy"? Can you put the image on a Web site somewhere?

I think you mean the border is thin, black, and wavy, and you want to make it smooth, rather than pixelated, correct? I only know of blurring. First, right click the layer in the layers window and click rasterize. Then you can go up to filters and click on blur. You can do a blur or blur more, or control your blur a tenth of a pixel at a time using gaussian blur.

This may sound amateur, I'm an amateur at photoshop.

Thanks. I'll try that this afternoon. Anyway the images are from the menu (top and bottom) to make as smooth as left and right. The tiny black framing of the menu. Thanks for any further propositions:

You are not likely to be able to "fix" the border that is already there; it'd be easier to re-create it from scratch.

Use the Pen tool to make a path in the shape you want. Turn the path into a selection. Stroke the selection with the Edit->Stroke command.
