how to open PDD files

I transfered some images from my old computer 98se to my new computer winxp and some images won't open,the program I did install stated I needed Photoshop 3.0 to open,I guess my old computer had a Photoshop program.All I want now is to be able to open the images. Thanks Joe

PDD files are from PhotoDeluxe. Photoshop shouldn't have a problem opening them, unless they have been damaged somehow.

Those were made by PhotoDeluxe.
If you don't have PhotoDeluxe, Elements, or Photoshop on this new machine, you can open .pdd and .psd files with the free IrfanView.

Any other solution as I too have this problem and have downloaded irfan view but it says I need photoshop 3 to open the pdd file.

Iam able to open the file form within photodeluxe but I wish to use within photoshop 2

Try changing extension to .psd (although Photoshop should open .pdd also)
