KPT 3, ..5,6,7.. versions or sets?

Hi,
I am looking for plug-ins but confused with the "numbering" of Kai's Power Tools.
KPT 3, ..5, 6, 7... They are not "version" numbers which the upper version includes all the "better and added" tools of the previous one? or Are they completely diffrent sets of tools in each other? So to have all the power tools which "versions" should I buy? What are the other best-of-all effects plug-ins for photoshop and illustrator?

Thanks
Steve.

In general, they are different sets of plugins. KPT "7" is actually "KPT effects" - which does contain some upgraded versions of a number of plugins included in the other suites. However, none of the suites is "all-inclusive."

There is a KPT Collection currently available that includes SOME filters from KPT 5, 6 and effects but not all of them.

So to sum it up, if you want them all, you should buy (if you can find!) KPT 5 (which included KPT 3 on the installation disk) KPT 6 and KPT effects. There are also a couple freeware single plugins floating around, if you must have absolutely ALL of them.

As to whether you need them all, that's entirely up to you. Corel has done a horrendous job of supporting them, if technical support is what you need, then look at the Alien Skin or Auto F/X lines. Or take a look at some of the smaller companies - www.thepluginsite.com has great stuff, as does www.redfieldplugins.com.

More than you'll ever need to know about plugins can be found at www.freephotoshop.com.

But most of them. The ones it doesn't contain are generally those that did carry over (for example, you get Fraxflame II but not the original Fraxflame).

More to point, you get: KPT Fluid, KPT FraxFlame II, KPT Gel, KPT Goo, KPT Ink Dropper, KPT Lightning, KPT Materializer, KPT Scatter, KPT ShapeShifter, KPT Blurrr , KPT Channel Surfing, KPT Equalizer, KPT FiberOptix, KPT Frax4D, KPT FraxPlorer, KPT Gradient Lab, KPT Hyper Tiling, KPT LensFlare, KPT Noize, KPT Projector, KPT Pyramid Paint, KPT RadWarp, KPT Reaction and KPT Turbulence.

And all for under $80
( http://www.provantage.com/buy-22079314-corel-creative-graphi cs-kpt-collection-shopping.htm). Not a bad buy at all.
